PERFORMANCE FINANCIERE A L’ERE DE LA TRANSFORMATION DIGITALE: UNE REVUE THEORIQUE
##plugins.themes.academic_pro.article.main##
Abstract
ABSTRACT:
This article explores the mechanisms through which digital transformation may influence firms’ financial performance. Drawing on a narrative literature review, it connects financial management instruments with technology-related changes in business processes, information flows and work organization. The discussion brings together financing, governance and strategic management perspectives to explain why comparable technological investments may lead to different outcomes. It distinguishes operational improvements, such as shorter processing times and more reliable data, from their eventual contribution to profitability and value creation. This contribution depends on employee skills, the fit between the project and organizational needs, and the control of implementation costs. The paper offers a conceptual interpretation rather than an empirical estimate of the causal effect of digitalization. It identifies relationships for future investigation and argues for assessing digital projects over an appropriate time horizon, combining financial indicators with measures of process performance.
Key words: Financial Performance; Digital Transformation; Management Control; Digital Technologies; Value Creation.
